Yes, that is the test. Do you happen to be using Dot5 fluid? It seems that
silicon fluid leakage causes high resistance. I have had two switches fail
in the mode where it kept taking more and more pressure to get them to turn
on. The contacts were getting wet with the silicon fluid - which is a great
insulator!
