There are several ways to hold those letters on but any way you do it I
always find it to be a good idea to coat the post with a little bit of clear
silicone sealer in-case the paint in the hole gets scratched while you're
installing them. This is especially important if you use the "blind" style
of retainer that is pushed on to the post and then the whole deal is pushed
onto the car from the front. Those are guaranteed to scratch the inside of
that pesky hole and next thing you know there's a filthy rust spot starting
under the letter.
