Hi Bob,

Since your engine fires with ether, the ignition system is probably ok. I
would not fuss with the ignition since you might screw it up and then have
two problems; much harder to fix (BTDT).

I'd double check that you have plenty of fuel at the carbs by manually
operating the fuel pump. The fuel should squirt out of the end of the hose
when the pump is operated by hand.

If you have fuel to the carbs, next check that when the choke is pulled, the
choke lever on the carbs turns.

If the choke is operating, then the most likely problem is that the float
valves in the bottom of the carbs are stuck "off". It's pretty common for
these to stick "on" when the car has sat for a while resulting in fuel leaks
from the carb. I have had them stick "off" but would be surprised if both
would be stuck off. If these are really stuck, the carbs should be
removed, the lower part disassembled and cleaned.

I have a write-up on the Buckeye Triumphs website describing how to take the
carbs apart. Go to following link and then scroll down to the stuff on
carbs.

Good luck
