Darrell, I just looked under my dash again to be sure. I have about 4 1/2
inches from the back of the dash straight back to the heater and then it's
just a glancing blow (mild bend) around it. The solid end of the
replacement cable is about 3 inches, so there really doesn't seem to be any
problem there.
Perhaps the 3B has a bigger heater? the choke in a different place on the
dash? Or maybe that hill climb was more of a cliff drop?
