Does anybody know what way the fins go on the Datsun/ready made finned
aluminium brake drums?
A member of our local TSOA has a set of original (Stanpart???) finned
aluminium brake drums on his 1 owner TR3A. He picked them up from the local
Triumph dealership in the early 60s when they were unofficially 'helping'
local racers of Triumphs.
I seem to recall him saying that the fins on the original types go in a
different direction to the ones that are currently available (and hence
offer better braking). Can anybody confirm or deny this?
