All:
I'm in the process of doing body prep for a respray of my GT6-3, and
tending to various cosmetic issues, one of which is the rear bumper.
It's obviously been rechromed, and not very well -- the plating is quite
thin and coming off in a couple of places. However, the bumper's
overall condition is better than most, just not perfect.
1) Can bumpers chrome be repaired, short of being completely rechromed?
2) Am I likely to find help with this locally, or do I have to send it
out?
3) What are the other ways of dealing with bumper imperfections?
(Sorry, but I can't paint it black ....)
And the respray color I'm currently considering is Mimosa Yellow, which
I think is lovely on this car (which is currently white). If you've got
a vote for another color, let it now be known, or forever hold you
peace.
