These roll bars can only be good for cosmetic purposes.

I have a custom roll bar that bolts to the floor in front of rear
wheel arches of my TR4. It is braced at the top of the wheel arches
then diagonally braced from the top left to the bottom right of
the rollbar frame. It is further braced horizontally behind the
   drivers seat.

It's strength derives from the front plates being bolted directly
over the front pick-up point of the rear leaf spring. Despite this,
I would consider my roll bar only a bit better, as it isn't directly
attached to the frame. Were I to race the car, at minimum, I would
want a brace from the top of the bar to the frame at the front of
the cockpit. To feel really secure I would want a braced hoop behind
the dash... Of course, this isn't practical for a street application.
What I have is good enough for the occasional autocrossing that I do.

I got lucky when I had my `bar made. I paid $175. It was made with
SCCA regulation tube steel by a racing team mechanic in the off
season and came painted the same color as my car's body.

My advice is if you want serious protection spend the money and have
   the job done right.

That's not a leak... My car's just marking its territory...
