Thanks for all the advice on my question about transplanting
a J overdrive from a Spit to a TR6. I thought that since I
had a spare TR6 transmission and an OD from a Spitfire I could
take my time and build the unit myself at low cost, but it is
starting to sound like a pretty difficult and costly process.
I may yet try it just out of stubborness if I can get the
adaptor plate and the mainshaft at reasonable prices. How
else do you learn how to do these things, right? Anyway,
thanks again for the help. I've already learned a good bit
since yesterday.
