Is there some type of product, or polish, that will restore the clarity?

It may already be too late, but you can get some plastic window treatments
at some of the better auto parts and auto paint shops. I was once
recommended a product sold by motorcycle shops called faring glaze but the
one shop I checked with referred me to the nearby NAPA shop where I bought
these window treatments. They are moderately effective.
The problem is a chemical reaction with stuff in the air. Pollution and UV
have caused the clear plastic to combine with other chemicals and it is no
longer clear. You will have to scrub off enough plastic to get down to the
clear material and this may be difficult, indeed.
Another option is to have an upholstery shop sew in a new window.
Good luck
Dave
