I plan on going the silicone route this winter as well in both the brake
and clutch systems. I plan on blowing out all of the Dot 5.1 glycol with
dry compressed air, refilling with denatured alcohol, bleed and let sit
overnight. I will then blow the lines again and refill with Dot 5
silicone. I flushed using this process last year after a master cylinder
rebuild and the brakes worked great this past season.
