That's partly true, but on a TR2-4 engine, the correct (rough) distributor
alignment is with the #1 plug contact on a line between the shaft and the #1
(exhaust) push rod tube on the head.  I believe the manual section being
quoted is discussing the installation of the dizzy, so it's tough to use the
dizzy as a reference ...
