David,
I found that almost all of my grease nipples had a blob of lumpy abrasive
congealed greenish gluck that would pop out when the grease gun was applied
(except one which refused to come out, that I ended up replacing). So then I
went around and took all the nipples off and blew out that old stuff with the
grease gun and refitted them. I can't recall how long you car was sitting so
maybe it's not an issue but I am glad I discovered this.
There is no doubt this would have been much harder with the body on the frame,
considering how many grease fittings there are between the steering linkage,
front suspension, and rear axle bearings - and even the parking brake cable.

Now that the drivetrain is in and waiting to the body to remounted would
this be a good point to fill all of the grease joints? .....
