While these switches may fit the bill for some folks, one should note that
these switches do not have provision for simultaneously disconnecting the
alternator. These switches appear to just have two terminals and switch
only the positive terminal. Switching one of these "off" to stop a running
engine likely would not stop the engine (it might continue to run off the
alternator output) and could damage the alternator. On the other hand, if
you don't have an alternator and don't require an SCCA/FIA approved switch,
then this is a real good price.
