Hi all :

Came across a relevant bit in Bill Piggott's Original Triumph TR2/3/3A
while looking for something else :

Horizontal strips of TR3A grille flattened somewhat to aid airflow for
cooling purposes.  This modification was retro-fitted free of charge to
earlier TR3As, so that the unmodified grille must be a rare find indeed
!

It sounds suspiciously as though the reproduction grille that everyone
is complaining about contributing to overheating, is in fact an accurate
reproduction of the original "rare find" TR3A grille !  Now, if only
someone would reproduce the 'improved' grille ...
