Hi all, Dave Terrick here (again).
My parts supplier just hit me with the news that the most critical of parts I
ordered for the rear hub rebuild are NFA (F standings for something rude).
They WERE listed in the VB catalogue in years past but now apparently are nls.
My guys seem to have no source for such rare parts - does anyone have a set of
these? Both mine were broken into several pieces when I disassembled the car.
The part in question is called a "spacer"; it fits over the axle shaft and
positions the rear hub relative to the uprights. The spacer has a taper on the
inside and a thickness of about 0.135. There may be some very thin shims as
well.
Can anybody help me with these, before I get stupid and go to a Japanese axle
assembly (and offer ALL the other new bearings, rotoflexes, etc. for sale)? I
can do nothing more to the car until I find these suckers. Hellllllp?
Dave Terrick
