For those that doubt the validity of that number, see the photo I just took:
http://www.pil.net/~mowogmg/tr6/gearbox-id.jpg , it seems to be using
smaller stamps than Triumph commonly used to mark their gearboxes, and it is
the only identification mark on the entire gearbox casing.
