That is the best way to go, because then you will always be able to use off
the shelf replacement hoses instead of some cobbled up affair. I did that
with my TR4, which was raced in the SCCA using a Chevy radiator. But the
inlet and the outlet were opposite what worked with the TR4 set up. The
previous owner had some unreplaceable hose arrangement in the car. A quick
trip to the radiator shop and I'm using stock TR4 hoses with this set up.
