Sorry for your loss, so to speak ... but I was surprised to learn that an
OEM seal is still available.  This is true?  And the seal provides the same
amout of clearance between the glass and frame as the original?  Have you
also measured the new windscreen to see that it isn't bigger than the
previous one?

When I replaced the seal on the glass on the rear hatch on my GT6, the only
one I could find was clearly not OEM, though it fit well.  Problem is, it
started showing small cracks in the rubber just a year after installation
...
