A small amount of smoke, while the engine is warming up after sitting
overnight or longer, may be OK, just accumulated condensation, etc.
burning off.

But if it continues, then either water or combustion gases are leaking
into the crankcase.  Since you didn't mention tailpipe smoke, and oil is
usually blue, I'd guess it's water.  Cracked head or leaking figure 8
gaskets, might possibly be a bad liner (but I doubt it).

As Teri-Ann suggested, a compression test is in order.  I'd try some
Aluma-seal, too.  As long as you keep the fluids full, and it doesn't
overheat, driving it is probably not going to harm anything that isn't
already harmed.
