Strombergs are not that complicated, but I would suggest getting a repair
manual for them from one of the big suppliers. If nothing else, the pictures
will help you to understand the carb's and use the correct terminology when
asking us for help. It is possible to do most of the cleanup on the car.
You may have to replace the diaphragms if they have splits in them; there is
a specific way they go in. Whatever you do to them you will have to
rebalance and may have to reset the mixture. These are not difficult
operations and can be done "by the seat of the pants" if you don't have the
tools.
