Greetings folks,
Could anyone having experience with the black mohair
tops from Prestige and/or Skinner share their experiences with me. This
would be for the TR6 with zip-out window. The prices are pretty close,
(with Prestige being the higher or the 2) so it comes down to a few
questions;
Quality of product-
Quality of fit-
Shipping time-
Customer/vendor communication-
Snaps, etc. already installed ?-
Final cost, including shipping (I'm in N.E. US)-
Well, the painter will finally be taking the car next week. Being done
in Glasurit urethane/clearcoat. The closest match I found to carmine red
(with a little more depth and brilliance) is the '99 Volvo flame red
pearl #322. (Anyone wondering what it costs to paint a car these days--
just the paint, including primer, hardeners, reducers, clear, etc. was
$750. My, how things have changed !!! ) But, matched up with a black
mohair top should pretty much complete this years project. Except for
those carbs, and the new bushings, new springs would be nice,
too...........
