>Question: Haven't looked REAL close at the books, but looks like I could
put
a fitting on the side of the original housing and externally lube the
system. Any suggestions on where? The oil pressure piping is rather
small,
but I may pressurize it that way. One way to inject the oil is to make a
small container out of pipe with a valve on the bottom and an air fitting
on
top. Fill with oil, pressurize, screw hose or pipe into engine, open
valve.

A friend of mine borrowed an engine pre-oiler (a soda fountain syrup can
filled with oil. Add air pressure and the oil will flow under pressure out
the dip tube connection into the engine) which did a dandy job getting oil
into every pressure lubed nook and cranny. It did not, however, pump oil
back into the oil pump which is what we really wanted. This was, I
believe, an MGB so your results may vary on other auto's.
