Brian, when are you worried about being in or out of O/D, on the open road @ 70mph, in town in 1st or reverse, thats what cutouts are for, I guess what I'm saying is that it becomes rather automatic after a while, force of habit or whatever, and the tach tells you so much, as well as the engines loudness, old men and habits, they are part of life.
