Skip to "c" and save yourself the trouble, be prepared to replace the core.

Main Bearings, that's what....

Do springs in pairs!

I tried installing one of these once. Not only does it keep you from putting
the seat all the way back, it really won't do much in a rollover crash due
to not being mounted to the frame. You could have one fabricated, but unless
you're building a race car I wouldn't bother. One thing I did do is remove
the center dash support as it seemed like it would take out my knee cap if I
rear-ended anyone. I'd send the bar back and order the parts to rebuild the
front end. If you do install it make sure to cover it with foam! No use
protecting your head from the road if you slam it against a mild steel tube
first.
>- -3 point belts- what do people recomend for a TR4? WHere do you put >the

I had my bodyman fabricate reinforcements for the lap belt mounts, and
install plates at the top of the rear fender wells where the TR 6 belts
mount. I'm installing bolt-in crossbar between these points which I'll
attach the top portion of a 5 point racing harness to. Of course I do have
an original surrey top for head protection;^) This also provides a "b" post
between the rear and side windows.
