In trying to analyze why my 74 TR6 will not start when hot, I reread an
article in the new British Marque about the resistor type ballast wire on
SOME TR6's. It is to increase the voltage under starting conditions. I am
confused if my 74 has this type wire. The wiring diagrams in the Bentley
manual only show it on the 75-76. The article said 73 for example. The
Moss catalog lists the same coil for 73-76. This is the coil I just put on.
PN 143-230.

The article says there is a resistor running from the fuse block to the
coil, and a regular wire running from the starter sol to the coil.

Can anyone clarify what is really on a 74? Thanks.
