from the armstrong shock arms. No they are not splined but they are tapered
so turning them with vise-grips might help (I kinda doubt that is your best
option though).
Leveraging with pliers and/or screw driver might pop the bolts out after
carefull warm-up with the propane.

An added advantage is that the heat can melt the rubber and you'll get rid
if the pesky link and be left with the tapered stud alone. Easier to get a
vice grip on.
