I just wanted to thank everyone who has made suggestions regarding how to
alleviate my Herald's fuel pump problems. I especially want to thank Jim
Laviana for his generous offer and supply of a fuel pump. (actually 2!) I
also wanted to thank Dave Brister for the offer of a rebuild kit, and Ken
Waringa for the fuel pressure regulator he sent to try to tame the electric
fuel pump.(Which may end up being used as a fuel transfer pump, as it is too
powerful for the Triumph)
I feel fortunate to know there are people on the list willing to help out
with any problem in any way they could- I only hope I can be of such great
service when someone has a problem I can assist with.
Now, with the fuel pump problem apparently fixed(I'll know this evening when
I throw the pump in) this little Herald should run quite a bit better, and I
can get to the more labor intensive work of stripping and repainting, so
she'll be ready for the spring, and top-down weather!(although yesterday in
NJ was perfect for it!)
Thanks again to everyone!
Scott
