KD57781E Engine Number from a ???

Is the above engine number from a GT6?  And if so what year and model would it
have come out of?  Any idea of what the horsepower, compressions ratio, etc.
might be on such an engine?  Would the engine and tranny fit easily into a
Spitfire such as a MKIV?

Thanks in advance and my apologies if this message shows up a few times too
many, I tried sending it before and it never showed up on the list but I
imagine it will now since I'm resending the durn thing.
