I assume you mean you've converted your TR3A _back_ to positive ground (it
was the original configuration).
I'm not certain I follow your question, it's the generator that has to be
polarized, not the regulator. If you just mean you left the regulator in
the circuit, so the lead to the generator's F terminal was connected to both
the regulator and the battery while you were polarizing, it's not likely to
hurt anything. If it did, you'll find out soon enough ...
