my I suggest alt.bla.bla.bla for those who have taken a "funny retort"
personally?

As a Canadian, I can laugh at all of this nonsense because we are too polite
to have pissed anyone off - of course perhaps this is why we are always
overshadowed by Big Bro. That said, I propose the following syllogisms.
Refute them if you dare!

The French and English have warred for centuries so mutual dislike is
cultural
Canada is the product of the French and English fighting over foreign lands
WE are still screwed up - and still fight amongst ourselves.
(is this "our" civil war, this regionalization of politics?)

The Americans are English "refusniks" who are now more influenced by Spanish
than English custom
The French and Spanish have not always been friends either, both wanting a
dominant role over the other
The Americans have the stubborn-ness of the French (Anglo-haters) and the
conquistidorial nature of the Spanish - causing you to be right "all of the
time" and "forcing your opinion" on your little brother to the North....etc.

Now, for anyone out there that does NOT get that this is a tongue-in-cheek
parody of real history and the crap of late on this list...... please flame
away. I'll just disappear. Maybe. I think we are all a bit burned out on
everything political, what with you trying to elect a President and us a
full government.....
