According to Mark Bradakis' guidelines

 http://www.vtr.org/maintain/engine-mods-TR6.html

on straight 6 engines, the GT6+ had a higher compression ration 9.25:1
versus 8.5:1 for the GT6, and the GT6+ would put out 95 bhp @ 4700 RPM
versus 95 bhp @ 5000 RPM from the GT6.
