I agree with Chad. My 76 also has the original paint and the area behind the 
grill (everything visiable thru the grill) including the rounded area of the 
headlights where the grill sides meets should be painted with the black 
paint. When looking thru the grill no body color should seen.....and on mine 
it looked like it was painted with a brush...which was not the neatest of 
jobs.
