Hi Frank,
One nice thing about TR6 seats is that it only takes the removal of two
bolts up front and they are out of the car. You might consider trading the
bolts for some type of quick release pin arrangement (heavy duty enough to
maintain safety for human passengers) and just pop the passenger seat out
for rides with Yossarian. This does leave the rails left behind. They are
fairly low profile, so I am sure you could throw down some kind of pad to
keep things comfortable for the pooch.

Subject: doggie seat?
Hi folks.
I don't want to re-invent the wheel. So I'm wondering if any of you clever
folks have already designed a doggie seat for a TR6. What I'm thinking of
is a collapsible extension that fits in where a human passenger would put
his or her legs. I've got a Labrador retriever and she goes everywhere with
me (and she's used to convertibles since until recently we drove together in
a soft-top jeep) - but Yossarian (that's her name) needs more space than
what the passenger seat offers. So a folding extension that I put on the
floor that is continuous with the seat. That's what I'm thinking. And the
odd time Yo isn't with me, the doggie seat goes in the boot.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Frank
