   This is a mod that is offered by British Frame & Engine. I don't
   know if they will fit a TR6 motor. The GT40 tappets are smaller in
   diameter than the holes in the TR2-4 block so steel sleeves were
   designed to be slipped into the bores... The recommendation was that
   the sleeves be chilled in the freezer for a couple of hours and lock-
   tited or epoxied into the lifter bores. The advantages are the Ford
   lifters are harder/lighter than the stock units. They also have a
   hole drilled into the side of the lifter to allow oil to drain out.

   `Works like a charm.
