Carl, no representative from the Colorado group at the Portland event
gave any reason for the late date, and it could be that they simply
didn't think about school starting dates, etc., because the same is not
true in Colorado. I suggest to all those who hesitate to make the event
due to school constraints that they simply write the Colorado bunch and
explain the difficulty. After all, it's a year away, and I doubt that
the hotel reservations, etc., are absolutely set in stone as of this
moment.

I would think that it would be in the best interest of the VTR to make
arrangements which would suit the greatest number of people. Even a few
more attendees than would otherwise be possible improve any event.

I wondered, during the 1997 event, when it was absolutely sweltering in
Fort Worth in July, why on earth anyone would schedule an event at that
time--but, the attendance bore out the sensibility of the scheduling. It
was a time when many could attend.

Cheers, Carl.
