FWIW, it's possible for an engine to have pretty good compression readings, but still have enough blowby at high rpm/load to overwhelm the PCV system. I believe this is a symptom of worn cylinder walls, where the rings can follow the walls at cranking speeds, but not when the engine is running. Randall 59 TR3A daily driver |
