TR3 Windscreen Gasket

I've had enough of rain coming under the rubber gasket at the bottom of my
windscreen when I get caught in the rain. So...I bought a replacement from
our friends at TRF. Quick question - is it necessary to remove the bottom
windscreen frame section in order to replace this, or can it be done by
simply removing the stantions? Any other words of wisdom from those who've
been there would be appreciated. Thanks, everyone.
