OK, I give up, just where is the switch for the brake lights on a TR3A? I recently found out I had no brake lights (had them in the spring I'm sure), and figured the switch would be attached to the brake pedal, .....if not there then maybe on the master cylinder. .....if not there, then it must be operated by hydraulic pressure and could be anywhere, but chances are it's underneath and covered with grime and exposed to the elements.
