Michael Porter made some amusing suggestions for awards at car shows
that besides being amusing to read, could really be fun.
The AACA developed an interesting class, the name of which I forget. It
was for cars that were absolutely untouched originals -- it was really
interesting to see these old crocks, complete with dents, rust, and
tattered upholstery. They were a valuable enhancement to the hobby, and
in many cases they served as benchmarks / reference points for
restorers.
