Message text written by "Jim Altman" >Any ole wire will do, but make sure there is enough flex and play to allow for advance and/or retard to move the plate and position of the wire. < The ground wire used in this application has very many very fine filaments. Tis is to accomodate the continual flexing that results from the action of the vacuum advance/retard unit. If you use a typical wire (eg:speaker wire) it will quickly fatigue and break. Give it a month or two. (Ask me how I know) But it will last until you get the new wire you order. (Unless it is on back order!) Dave |
