74 TR6 now charging

I bit the bullet and had my alternator rebuilt; brushes, rectifier, etc.  
Just put it back on last night and now it charges like it a champ.  Cost me 
$80 - sure beats a new or rebuilt one.

I was fortunate to find an old guy who's been rebuilding starters, generators 
and other types of electrical motors for 30 years.  When i handed it to him 
and he saw it was a Lucas, he just laughed!! I wonder why.
