I've got two key treasure areas. One is 'Canley Girl' in duplicate - but in
bits. In fact,
I've got so many bits, I haven't discovered what all of them are, even though
I've had
them for over a year. The other treasure is in the 'tools' area. One genuine
original
Standard Motor Company workbench. This was one of 500 made to an exacting Air
Ministry
specification for the manufacture of Mosquito airframes in the war and is
painted belly
blue. On the lower shelf, there is a toolbox that Dad had to make to hold all
his service
tools before he was allowed out 'on the road' to service Standard cars in 1921.
He also
had to make most of the tools in it and apart from my two sons, these are my
greatest
treasure of all.
