Actually, the length of coil springs in a free state is not real important. The important length from the standpoint of ride height is the length when installed in the car, under normal load. This is why the competition springs are 1" shorter. The springs have a higher rating, meaning there will be less deflection under the load of the car weight. Installed on the car, both springs should have the same length to give equal ride height to the chassis. Jay 74TR6 |
