Hi Paul
I use Wellseal, this is basically the same thing you already find on the
gaskets, so is compatible with them, some gasket mfrs recommend no gasket
goo be used unless the engine mfrs say otherwise, I was really impressed by
the Wellseal, though it is expensive by comparison to red hermetite etc it
is easy clean so should not pose the same sort of problems as hermetite.
