Cliff, I used to beat the shaft forward through the bearing, but bought a $99 press from Harbor Freight a number of years ago and now use it to push the shaft through the bearing. A kinder and gentler approach, to be sure. That press is, dollar for dollar, the best tool I ever purchased. Ed Woods |
