I had an over sized hole in my windshield frame where a zerx (?) fitting was
supposed to be to hold the top in place. I used this tool to insert threads
so I could screw in a new stud. Worked great, although I must admit I didn't
leave the top on longer than it took to see that it would in fact go on and
it hasn't been on again since.
I also plan on using them in the holes for the screws that hold on the grill
next time I remove the grill. Other than being on the expensive side, I am
very pleased with the results. I did find the instructions a little
confusing though.
