Alan,

Thanks very much for the "get off your butt" research.... it
really helps. I looked at the Piggott book and the seats all
look pretty much like my new cushions relative to the driveshaft
tunnel view height.

Yours are much closer to the 6 1/4 than the 4.

Thanks

Hi Brian,

My car's seats were recovered many years ago by an upholstery
shop &
DPO, but under it are the orig. sagging springs/compressed
stuffings...
cushion only (out of the frame) is 5 inches tall at the front,
2.5 to
2.75 inches at the back. In the frame, it's just under 6 in. from
the
bottom of the frame to the piping. However, I don't trust the
position
of the piping. Are they original otherwise(under the vinyl)?...
well
let's just say the tag that fell out of the stuffing the other
day said
"Standard Triumph Zest" on it!

I always felt like my butt was nearly dragging on the ground
driving
this car... so I envy your lofty position! But I'm kind of
attached
(adhered?) to the black duct tape here and there on my seats!

I would suggest just driving and enjoying your tall seats... I'm
sure
they'll sag a bit soon enough (like all of us).

BTW, do the covers you got have the vertical pleats in the
seatback? I
think that's what came orig. on my car, and pref'd that look with
the
rest of the interior (just my HO).
