Tom,
1) no the interlock inhibits the starter. If you are cranking that is not
the problem.
2) If you have spark at the plugs then all is normal there.
Next question: is the spark occuring at the right time? If you have a
timing light check to see if the firing is accouing at TDC for cyl's 1 and
6.
