Yes, there is a BRG limited edition of the TR6. A company called Dual
Connection of Gibsonia, PA, commissioned it. The model differs in several
ways, the most obvious being the BRG. The front license plate is "69
Triumph TR6" while the others have a random English #. By the way, Ertl
also makes the limited edition so in body style and part they are identical.
The back plate is "DUEL" for the name of the company that had it
commissioned. Other small details are that the wood dash is a darker and
the insets of the wheels are painted flat black.
Being a limited edition, the cost is a bit higher that the red or blue
models. 2500 were made. The cost is $44.95 at http://diecastcountry.com,
(no $ connection except that the store is just a few miles from me and they
are tired of me asking about new TR's that are being released) but it is
also available from www.triple-c.com. Both of these places are great places
to get a wide assortment of LLBC's (Little Little British Cars). I have
seen diecasts from both TRF and Moss but I don't know what the prices are
like. Considering that they have to go through the supplier, they may be a
little higher.
The daughter of the owner of dual connection who commissioned the limited
edition in the first place owns Diecastcountry.com. The last time I checked
they were holding back cars #1 through #100 but still had cars above those
numbers.
No, you probably can't get car #1. I've tried many times and the owner
is
keeping that one.
Just for information, the only other 1:18 scale TR's are the TR3A from
and
the Spitfire.

Subject: TR6 1/18 model question
A while back I bought two 1/18 TR6 models. One is very dark blue with the
top up and the other is red with top open. These are new Ertyl models that
said Britains collectibles on the box.
Does anyone know if a green or other color model 1/18 TR6 was produced? A
friend has told me that he thought he had seen another advertised. If
another was made, I would like to find one. If not, then I won't bother
looking.
Thanks,
