Ken,
        Sounds like you may have the dreaded cracked taper pin which has
received so much attention from the list lately. If your hydraulics
check out OK then the pin will need to be replaced, most likely along
with a new fork, operating shaft, definitely shaft bushings and new
clevis pins.
